PHILIP KREBS
President and Founder
Philip Krebs
With over 25 years' experience in product design, development, marketing, and management, Phil founded Timberline in 2001 to help companies successfully bring their new products to market. Phil earned his BSME/Materials Science degree from University of California, Davis and has successfully led multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, designers and technicians developing products for leading brands including Warn Industries, Fox Racing Shox, BAE, and Manitowoc.
Phil’s deep knowledge and passion for elegant design, product testing and validation, and production startup have led to award winning designs in the medical, consumer products, industrial, military and automotive markets.
When not leading Timberline, Phil can be found fly fishing and kayaking Oregon’s great rivers and streams, or carving the perfect turn on his motorcycle.
JOSH CROOKS
Mechanical Designer
Josh Crooks
Josh is Timberline’s detail designer / sheet-metal and machining expert / resident gearhead. Anything that needs a unique mechanical solution is no match for Josh’s creativity and drive. With over 8 years’ experience designing everything from electronic enclosures to 40 foot geothermal muffler systems, Josh is our go-to resource for detailed design in the areas of machined components, weldments, sheet metal, and molded parts. He also provides our prototype testing and field testing services.
Away from the computer, Josh can be found designing the next Portland PDX adult soap-box racer, building his ‘63 Impala, or fine-tuning a new batch of IPA.
DAVID ASHMAN
Electrical Engineer
Zone 7 Engineering
Dave is a senior level electrical engineer with over 25 years of experience in the design of digital and analog circuitry incorporating various microprocessors/DSPs, and development of embedded C/C++ firmware. Dave has a Master of Science (M.S.) degree from Johns Hopkins University with a focus on digital signal processing. He is the founder of Zone 7 Engineering, an electrical engineering company based in Portland Oregon. Dave is Timberline’s electrical engineering and firmware partner for electronics design, providing production ready electronics that seamlessly integrate into Timberline’s overall product development process. When not developing state of the art electronic designs, Dave enjoys hiking, biking, and making black & white photographs with vintage film cameras.
ANN KREBS
Finance Manager
Ann Krebs
With over 30 years experience with finance and customer service in the product design and manufacturing arena, Ann keeps the Timberline accounting, purchasing, and all things office management running smoothly. She has worked with major brands like Warn, Stanley, Black & Decker, Dewalt, and LaBounty. Ann uses a laser focus to keep the customer experience at Timberline streamlined and successful.
Away from the office, Ann enjoys travel, camping, and exploring the Pacific Northwest.

Elsa the German Shepherd is our lovable, slightly excitable office greeter. Always looking for treats from USPS and UPS, she has boundless energy and enthusiasm, and is highly skilled at motivational speaking and encouragement. Hard to have a bad Monday with this girl around.
