“Failure is not an option”: Timberline adds SolidWorks Simulation Capability, Attains SolidWorks Expert and Mechanical Design Certifications
Gene Kranz, the colorful Apollo 13 Flight Director made famous the quote “Failure is not an option”. He required that his crew be tough, competent and take nothing for granted. This applied to every aspect of a project including design, analysis and test. Probably part of the reason his people got the crew of the ill-fated mission back to earth safely!
In successful product development, failure prediction and risk management takes multiple disciplines, the right tools and skills. At Timberline, we are dedicated to using the right tools to create success for our clients and continually developing our skills.
We’ve recently added SolidWorks Simulation Professional to our suite of tools. This package allows us to do drop test simulation, study thermal and structural effects on electronics, and analyze the effects of frequency and buckling on structures, to name just a few virtual testing tools.
To hone our design skills, Nick Edgar, ME, has recently attained SolidWorks Expert Certification and Josh Crooks, Mechanical Designer, has attained SolidWorks Professional Certification.
We’re committed to continually improving our game so our customers can enjoy continued success!
